Hunting

Hunting is one of the experiences available during your stay at Appelkullen and our surrounding countryside properties. Together with experienced local hunters and guides, we offer authentic Swedish hunting in carefully managed forests and natural landscapes in southern Sweden. The hunting areas include both our own land and nearby partner areas.

Our philosophy is simple: Good hunting begins with healthy wildlife populations, responsible management and deep respect for nature. For us, hunting is not only about the moment itself — it is about the full experience of the forest, the traditions, the knowledge and sharing good food and stories afterwards.

We welcome hunters who value ethical hunting, nature and genuine Swedish countryside traditions.

Available Hunting Experience

Roe Deer

Roe deer hunting The area is known for strong roe deer populations and varied terrain ranging from forests to open fields. Depending on season and conditions, hunting methods may include sit hunting, stealth hunting and call hunting.

Wild Boar

Southern Sweden today has a healthy wild boar population, offering exciting and challenging hunting experiences in natural forest environments.

Goose

During autumn and winter, large numbers of geese move through the region. Hunting is performed using traditional decoys and calls in open landscapes and agricultural areas.

During selected periods of the season, arranged driven hunts for roe deer, fallow deer, moose and wild boar may be available together with experienced local hunters and hunting dogs.
